Toronto Veggie Pride Parade

We are proud to partner with the Toronto Veggie Pride Parade.

We are proud to partner with the Toronto Veggie Pride Parade, as they celebrate each summer with hundreds of people in the streets of downtown Toronto the many joys of living vegetarian and vegan lifestyles.

The parade is the first of it's kind in Canada and was founded in 2009 by Toronto animal activist Holly Larson, who was inspired by similar parades held in Europe and the United States. The Toronto Veggie Pride Parade hosts celebratory events, which are inclusive, educational, inspiring and emphasize the importance of living a low impact, eco-friendly lifestyle.

Demonstrating just how devoted they are to practicing what they teach, the parade decided to balance their carbon footprint! In 2012 alone this means they have purchased 13 tonnes of carbon credits from our new forests, which offsets all of the carbon emissions from the vehicles involved in the parade and the estimated transportation used to bring attendees to and from this fantastic event. This action will ensure that plenty of boreal plants and animals will have pristine places to grow for years to come!
